Smith & Jones Distributing was formed in June 1972 by Harold Jones and Gary Smith. Both had restored cars and wanted to provide a source of parts locally for restorers in the area. The business evolved from part-time to full-time with a full line of restoration parts for antique autos from 1909 through 1931. A catalogue with 139 pages was developed which brought about a much larger customer base, and resulted in orders worldwide.
